false
SHAH'RYAR initially teases us with hints of bergamot, osmanthus and caramel, calling us deeper into the experience with warm notes of vanilla, oud and sandalwood. Only at its most intimate core does Shah'ryar finally release its woody resinous heat.

Story of a fragrance
"SHAH’RYAR is inspired by the tales of the Thousand and One Nights stories. It expresses power, luxury and opulence of the King Shah’ryar as well as his redemption. Build around oud, it is a warm, deep, and gourmand fragrance.”
Rania Jouaneh
Agarwood / Oud
raw materials
Trees of the Aquilaria genus are the source of agarwood, also known as oud. Native primarily to Southeast Asia, these trees produce a highly fragrant resin when infected by certain fungi. This natural defense response gradually permeates the wood, creating the resinous heartwood known as agarwood or oud.
There are several Aquilaria species, including Aquilaria crassna, Aquilaria malaccensis, and Aquilaria sinensis, each offering its own distinctive olfactory profile. Some are known for softer, sweeter facets, while others reveal more animalic, smoky, spicy, or woody nuances. These differences allow perfumers to select specific types of oud for different creative purposes, depending on the balance, depth, and character they wish to achieve in a composition.
Valued for centuries for its rarity and remarkable aromatic richness, agarwood holds a unique place in the world of luxury. In perfumery, it brings an evolving signature that combines warmth, depth, and complexity, making it one of the most prized ingredients in fine fragrance.
