Story of a fragrance
A personal journey
"Cuir Andalou is born from my passion for leather notes.
To me, leather brings to mind both the raw, rugged energy of tanneries and the refined elegance of luxury craftsmanship. It holds this unique duality—strength and sophistication—that I find endlessly inspiring in perfumery.
When I created Cuir Andalou, I drew from the history of leather trade in Andalusia. This region, once shaped by Arab influence, was home to a rich and elevated way of life—where science, music, and art flourished with remarkable grace. That spirit is what I aimed to express in this fragrance: a warm, textured leather softened by Andalusian elegance.
Cuir Andalou also carries a floral undertone that evokes the cool evenings of Andalusia—when the night air is filled with delicate scents, creating an atmosphere that is both soothing and mysterious.
To me, this fragrance beautifully captures the essence of powerful leather tamed by warm refinement."

Leather
raw materials
Leather is a timeless note in perfumery, known for its strength and lasting presence.
While real leather isn’t used directly, perfumers recreate its scent using a mix of natural and synthetic ingredients like styrax or cedar. This leather accord, often blended with woody, smoky, or even floral notes, adds a dry/sensual character to fragrances.
Over time, this unique accord has won over fans of niche perfumery—those who seek bold and genuine creations. When paired with precious woods like oud, or smoky and floral touches, leather becomes the heart of deeper, more exclusive compositions.
